The game is set in the distant future, in the year 2353 AD. About 300 years prior, a great war erupted between the two powers of the East and West. As the war escalated and control slipped from both sides, they horrifyingly used a newly acquired technology called the "Polonium Bomb" against each other. This led to the destruction of a large part of life on Earth and poisoned the planet's atmosphere, making it uninhabitable for most living creatures, including humans. The few survivors were forced to live in small colonies deep underground, enduring extremely harsh conditions. However Years before the Great War, a group of wealthy individuals, artists, and influential figures, including a prince from Dubai, aware of the dangers of using this bomb, purchased an island in the Atlantic Ocean. They invested heavily to build a city and isolated it from the polluted air outside with a large glass dome overhead, urging people to seek refuge there in case of conflict. However, when the war began, the majority of people perished, and only a few managed to reach the island. Others who survived only had time to take shelter deep underground near their homes. Those who reached the island are called the First Generation. Since almost everything was destroyed after the war, the people living in underground colonies outside the island gradually lost faith in the existence of such an island over the years, considering it more of a myth for false hope. Because the descriptions depicted a technologically advanced, beautiful, yet remote and unattainable city in the heart of the ocean, veiled by the dust left from the Great War, they ironically named it "Fadeland". The First Generation of Fadeland, mostly comprising the wealthy, scientists, artists, and influential figures of their time, tried after the war, using their advanced facilities and tools, to bring other survivors trapped in underground colonies worldwide to the island. However, they faced many challenges, including the difficulty of transporting them through the Earth's deadly atmosphere, which required special spacecraft, and the biggest problem: the lack of sufficient land on the small island to accommodate a large number of people. Therefore, the First Generation built colossal skyscrapers, expanding the city not only vertically upwards but also downwards deep into the earth. This continued for years until Fadeland headed towards a population explosion and resource scarcity, leading to a new problem.... Despite the First Generation being mostly educated and cultured members of society, the uncontrolled population growth on the island and the excessive diversity of cultures and ethnicities in a small living space without necessary cultural infrastructure gradually led to conflicts and violence, causing concern among the city's inhabitants. Hence, to control violence within the city and prevent the recurrence of past human war tragedies, representatives gathered in the central city building, the DAO (established for decentralized city control), and passed a law prohibiting the possession and use of firearms. Anyone violating this law would be exiled from the island. But knowing that humans are inherently aggressive, they used a method employed thousands of years ago to channel this aggression. They organized competitions where volunteers fought each other, similar to gladiatorial combat, which the public enjoyed watching. This largely restored stability to the city but also created a thriving entertainment industry. Consequently, some of the city's wealthy individuals, seeking greater profits, started bringing people from the underground colonies outside the city. They promised them permanent residency in Fadeland if they could prove themselves as skilled fighters, forever changing the face of the city. Now, you, as the player, take on the role of one of these fighters who, after years of participating and winning in underground fighting club competitions, has earned temporary permission to be in Fadeland. You must strive, like a gladiator, to emerge victorious from the initial, extremely difficult fights planned for you and secure permanent residency in Fadeland forever.
